Updating from FF Matrix 1.x

Note: It’s highly recommended that you backup your database before upgrading from FF Matrix 1.x.

1. Ensure that your system meets the Prerequisites listed in the Installation Instructions, and then follow the installation procedure
   • Your FF Matrix fields will automatically converted to Matrix fields, and FF Matrix will be deactivated
2. Delete system/extensions/fieldtypes/ff_matrix from your server
3. Delete system/language/english/lang.ff_matrix.php from your server

Updating from an earlier version of Matrix 2

1. Ensure that your system meets the Prerequisites listed in the Installation Instructions, and then follow the installation procedure
2. Delete the themes/matrix folder if you’re updating from an earlier version than 2.0.7
3. Go to Add-Ons → Fieldtypes → Matrix to trigger Matrix’s update script. (No action is necessary.)
