Troubleshooting
Here are a few common issues people have run into, and how to solve them. If this page doesn’t solve your problem, you can get additional help at help.pixelandtonic.com.
Matrix doesn’t look styled correctly, and the “Add Row” button isn’t working.
Reason: Matrix’s CSS and Javascript files aren’t getting loaded properly.
How to fix
Make sure that you’ve uploaded your themes/third_party/matrix/ folder correctly.
Go to your General Configuration settings…
- EE1: Admin → System Preferences → General Configuration
- EE2: Admin → General Configuration
…and make sure that the “URL to your ‘themes’ folder” setting is correct.
My Matrix tag isn’t outputting anything in my template. (EE2 only)
Reason: You haven’t enabled extensions yet.
How to fix
- Go to Add-Ons → Extensions.
- Click the “Enable Extensions?” button in the top-right.
- Click the “Submit” button in the confirmation box.
